Yes. Tickets on the day cost £20 for admission (flexible Early Bird pricing is only for advance tickets bought on this website). Lunch tickets, unfortunately, can only be purchased in advance.
The theme of the Convention is ‘A New Life’. It reflects the ongoing struggle and rich rewards of creating a new life every day in recovery.
The venue for the Convention is the Bath Pavilion, located on North Parade Road, BA2 4EU, nestled between Bath Rugby and Bath Cricket Grounds.
Tickets are available with a ‘Pay What You Can’ option, making the event accessible for everyone in our Fellowship. Your support, whether through a £5, £10, £15, or £25 ticket, helps make this day a reality for all.
The Convention has been funded by generous donations from:
- Wiltshire & Bath Intergroup
- AA’s Bath Day Out Committee
Proceeds from the Convention will cover costs; once costs are repaid, funds will be returned to Intergroup, followed by Bath Day Out. Our goal is repay donations in full. Full accounting will be published and made available within two months following the event.
Yes, families and non-AA members are absolutely welcome to attend and experience the fellowship.
Wonderful! Please fill in this form and we’ll send you one. It’ll be A3, laminated, with the same design as our digital flyer.
Thank you! You can download our digital flyer right here.
Yes! Everyone is welcome, whether it’s your first AA event or you lost count ages ago.
We hope your Group Conscience will consider appointing a Convention Rep for your meeting. This is a wonderful service opportunity, and the role can be tailored to suit the needs of your group.
Here’s what a Convention Rep might do (each Group Conscience can obviously change this at its discretion):
- Display the Poster: Ensure the poster is visible at your meeting each week.
- Order Posters: If your group doesn’t already have a poster, use our simple online form to request one, and we’ll send a laminated A3 poster to your meeting.
- Share Information: Mention convention updates and reminders during meeting announcements (suggested frequency: every few weeks).
- Point of Contact: Be available to answer any questions about the convention or direct members to our website for more information.
- Register as a Rep: Let us know you’ve been appointed using the same online form.
Remember: The Rep role is entirely optional and up to the discretion of your Group Conscience.
We’re deeply grateful for your willingness to serve. Every effort helps make this convention a success!
We’re excited to support groups and individuals selling paper copy tickets for Wiltshire & Bath Intergroup’s New Life Convention. Here’s what you need to know:
1. Selling tickets as a group
“Each group should be autonomous except in matters affecting other groups or AA as a whole.”
Tradition 4
It’s worth noting that the Convention is funded by Wiltshire & Bath Intergroup and proceeds from the Convention will be returned to Wiltshire & Bath Intergroup.
Two options:
- Groups can decide to purchase Convention tickets collectively making it easier to distribute them among members and/or sell in their meetings. This approach helps groups to collectively support the Convention and makes tickets accessible to as many members as possible.
- If your group doesn’t wish to buy tickets outright but would still like to have tickets to sell, you can choose to designate a ‘ticket seller’ to receive up to 10 tickets at a time ‘on loan’ to be sold to members attending your group.
2. Individual ticket sellers
Anyone can also choose to be a ‘ticket seller’ independently from your group even if they have chosen option 1.
3. Price
Digital tickets are available on this website anytime and are sold at ‘Pay What You Can Afford‘ rates with a recommended price of £15 with an extra £5 lunch voucher. Paper tickets come at a fixed special rate of £15 (including lunch).
4. How do I start?
Yes. According to Tradition Six, “An A.A. group ought never endorse, finance or lend the A.A. name to any related facility or outside enterprise…” Outside organisations and service providers (e.g. merchandise vendors, or drug and alcohol services such as Turning Point) may be invited to share information in a passive manner—i.e., through a stall—without implying A.A. endorsement. Their presence is offered as a resource only, ensuring no affiliation or endorsement is suggested.
Yes. Tradition Seven states, “Every A.A. group ought to be fully self-supporting…” In keeping with this, all participants, including those doing service, pay for their tickets, ensuring the event remains financially independent.
This aligns with practice at other major Conventions such as the Alcoholics Anonymous 90th anniversary International Convention 2025 (“as responsible A.A. members, “we pay our own way.” The International Convention is paid for by those A.A.s who participate in it”) and the London International Convention 2025 “everybody who attends the event has to pay. This includes members doing service at the convention and includes speakers. As stated in Tradition 7, we are fully self-supporting through our own contributions and like any AA group, the London Convention must cover its financial obligations.”).
Yes. Our policy is that Traditions Six and Seven both apply in the same way as mentioned in the FAQs above. We neither endorse outside entities nor accept external subsidies, so everyone covers their share. This keeps the convention self-supporting and free of implied affiliations. Tickets are available for as little as £5 on this website, however if you are unable to afford this or have any concerns, please get in touch with the Committee who will be glad to discuss.
Tickets are offered online starting at just £5. In addition, some groups (for example, Oldfield Park, Bath) have purchased blocks of tickets to distribute free to newcomers, making sure cost is not a barrier to attendance. You can also get in touch with the Committee directly using the contact form below if you would like a ticket and cannot afford one.
